Computer Engineering degree receives accreditation from ABET/EAC.

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCE) has received accreditation by ABET for all graduates of the program. The accreditation is retroactive for all students who graduated from the program after October 1, 2008.
The Computer Engineering Degree started accepting students in Fall 2007 and had its first three graduates in Spring of 2009. Currently there are 221 Computer Engineering majors and has graduated 19 students.  The program is jointly delivered by the Computer Science Department and the Electrical Engineering Department.  Computer Science has an additional   206 majors and Electrical Engineering another 231 majors.  All three programs are now ABET accredited and are experiencing a steady combined growth.  The three fields are identified as the top professions in 2011 and predicted to continue that trend for the next 10 years according to US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
