Dr. Xiang Lian Joins CS Faculty at UTPA
Dr. Xiang Lian Will Join in the Department in Fall 2011
We are pleased that Dr. Xiang Lian, a native of Jiangsu, China, will join the faculty in the Department in Fall 2011. Dr. Lian received his bachelor degree from Nanjing University in2003 and Ph.D. in computer science from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2009. Currently, he is a research assistant professor at HKUST.
Dr. Lian’s research interests include query processing over uncertain databases, streaming time series, spatial databases and inconsistent probabilistic databases. He has a well-established program and possesses an exceptional record of publications in top-rated journals and conference proceedings. He will help lead the database research and teaching at UTPA to a new horizon.
